In addition to exhibits, Science Museum Oklahoma also has a Dome Theater where shows are projected onto a 70-foot diameter dome. Science Museum Oklahoma is also home to Oklahoma’s first public-access planetarium. In the Planetarium, guests can view “Tonight’s Sky” which features the cosmic sights in our night sky.
A portion of a recent grant from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation is funding a new exhibit for Science Museum Oklahoma. This new installation will be a children’s museum geared toward families with young children 3 to 6 years old. At a sizeable 21,000 square feet, the new young children’s museum will rival the size of other children’s museums around the country. There will be many educational activities for the whole family.
