I am a wife, mother of 3 children, co-owner of The Changing Table, CPA, founder of Cloth Diaper Oklahoma, and the newest member of the Real Diaper Association Board of Directors. My love of cloth began before the birth of my second child. My oldest daughter was plagued by excruciatingly painful diaper rash, most likely due to a sensitivity to the chemicals in disposable diapers, and I was determined to make changes before my second daughter was born. I was lucky to have a supportive mom's group who introduced me to the wonderful world of cloth. I was once again lucky to have a great friend who was pregnant at the same time I was and who was also determined to use cloth. At that time, there were no cloth diaper stores in Oklahoma City, thus The Changing Table was born (www.thechangingtableok.com). We went through a lot of trial and error to find quality diapers that we loved and unnecessarily spent a lot of money in the process. We wanted to save other parents from the same situation, so we opened a cloth diaper store and started several different trial programs to help parents save money and find the best fit for their little one. Oklahoma City has come a long way in a short time since then. Now there are many options locally. Thus began the birth of Cloth Diaper Oklahoma. I am a real diaper circle leader with the Real Diaper Association (www.realdiaperassociation.org) and merged Cloth Diaper Oklahoma into a local Cloth Diaper Circle to be used as a resource and support group for cloth diaper parents. Please join me in "changing diapers one baby at a time".
